The surveyor who provided the single survey is liable to the buyer for the accuracy of the survey. However, this only applies if the surveyor has proof that you viewed the survey.
Registration ensures that your rights as a prospective buyer are secured. Your details will be visible to the surveyor and to the selling solicitor for that property. They will not, however, be passed to third parties.
